SOMETIMES IT IS JUST TIME TO LEAVE.

Putting a band aide on our hurts can help if the wound is superficial. Cuts heal, and a scab forms, then disappears and all signs of the wound is gone. Not even a scar forms if we are lucky.

However, when the wound is deep within, to the core of our very being, our feelings, and the hurt that starts small, and seems to grow and grow, even the largest band aid is not enough to heal and make the pain go away.

This is what happens when others seem to expect you to be there everyday, expect you to do the same things, to help others grow, and you give so much to them, that there is little left for ourselves. We tolerate it, until we cannot any longer ....being taken for granted and accepting what we have to give, and adding on to what we give without a word of gratitude for all to hear, can be tolerated for only so long....then there is an explosion, a heaviness from within.

We ask ourselves why we tolerate the indifference. Maybe we remain because we love someone and cannot imagine living without them. Maybe we just love the cause that we have attached ourselves to, and helped grow, and the thought of not being there when the growth has been complete, just shuts our eyes and desensitizes us to the real pain that has been building and building.

And then!! suddenly we collapse under the strain of not feeling truly appreciated, but instead feel as if we are taken for granted.

Others are so used to you being there, that they cannot imagine you ever not being there. They step on you without realizing it, until you feel crushed from the weight.

What we once loved, we still love. What we once contended with, we no longer wish to contend with. We look for a change, we hope for one, but if it does not come, Then....

Sometimes it is just time to leave!!
